A very pleasant visit to a small vineyard 30 minutes north of Barcelona in the Alella appellation. Never heard of it? It only has 7 vineyards in it... Anna, our host is very pleasant and knowledgeable about wine (she is a sommelier), so it made the visit extra nice - it was not a mass tourist attraction but truly a visit for wine lovers who are curious and who can appreciate wine and all that goes with it.
We were picked up in a hotel in a huge van and driven to the vineyard - to our surprise there was nobody else in the van and the breakfast was solely for the two of us. .

Fabulous experience from start to finish. Montse picked us up at the cruise ship terminal and we had a quick 20 minute drive to the winery. We learned about the winery (bouquet d'alella), had a traditional Catalan breakfast with different wines produced at the winery. We toured the vineyard and ended the tasting with an espresso and a case of wine to ship home!

From the moment Paco picked us up at our airbnb in the Mercedes van, the trip was fantastic. There were only 5 of us so we were able to see and hear every word from the guides at Can Bas in the Penedes region. Our guide, Ariadna, gave great explanations of the wines and the reasons for using each glass. Part of our tour was in the rain and even that was calming and interesting. All 5 of us give the tour 10 stars out of 5!!

here do I start! Suzie was amazing. She represented the heart of this beautiful city. In a half day she took us nimbly on the best tour of Barcelona we could have ever imagined. Gothic quarter, La Rambla, Gaudi, Olympic stadium, Montjuïc, La Sagrida Familia…. And educated us on the vast history of the city all along the way. She also took us in and out of shops and eateries and pointed out where we should go later in the day. I have a whole new perspective of Barcelona and would highly recommend a tour with Suzie. The fishing docks experience was highly informative and interesting. Everyone left with a much better
understanding of the different fishing techniques and their impact on the oceans and other marine life.
Seeing the actual fish auction was very interesting as well.

Barcelona Modernist & Medieval Private Tour
My group of four had the best day with Miguel touring Barcelona. Starting on Las Ramblas and St. Josep La BoQueria to finding the Miro to the various churches and finally the Cathedral to the Roman arch and the Picasso to The Kiss to the tallest tree in Barcelona to lunch at the top of El Courte Ingles, we were enthralled with Miguel’s knowledge of the nooks and crannies and his patience with our questions and picture taking.
The whole day was full of learning but our highlight was definitely our tour of La Sagrada Família. Having Miguel to just ourselves made this part of the day truly special. Miguel was so knowledgeable about the Basílica and the images of the stone work. He made us love being there even more.
We walked miles and left with smiles and hopefully a plan to meet again when we return to Barcelona in April of 2022.

Vermout sailing experience - shared group
We went for a sailing experience with a sailboat off the coast of Barcelona. The whole experience was amazing, starting with a very prompt responding from Melanie, that works at the office to our skipper, Fabio, who really did a great job in a friendly and positive manner. We are probably going again soon.

Melanie organized an amazing trip for us. Suzie, our guide was just fabulous. She was flexible with our plan and designed the tour around what we were interested in. Her knowledge of the city was great and all her little stories & trivia made it so much more interesting. She knows the best restaurants, coffee shops and the coolest sites to visit. The visit to the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia was something that we will always cherish because Suzie explained every little detail in the Basilica.

This is a 5 star experience. Short drive from Barcelona center and you are in the most beautiful place. Tasting interesting wines and having a lovely brunch with a fantastic view to the Sea. Afterwards we had a nice walk in the vineyards and the winery with the host. The host is really nice and so was Melanie from Barcelona Discovery. All in all we highly recommend the tour (NB: we ordered 12 bottles of wine while on-site and they arrived in Denmark 4 days later, so now we can extend the experience over the coming weeks)

I did the tour to the Alella winery with the picnic at sunshine. Melanie brought us by car to the winery, she was very professional and everything was perfect and very well organized. The winery is in a fantastic place on the hill near to Barcelona and facing the sea. The landlord showed us the winery and explained the production process; we also tasted several wines, all very good! And then the picnic was prepared on a very nice viewpoint in the winery, with good Spanish food and a bottle of wine. It was really a unique experience and I was really happy with that! I definitely recommend it!!

This is a terrific tour. This is must for folks that like food and great olive oil. The tour shared all facets of the growth of olive trees and how olive oil is pressed. The sharing of all the different types of oil made from the different olives was very educational. I recommend this tour for everyone.
